The current app is missing all the above but it manages to do some things well, the whole interface is just so Windows Phone 7! it takes some really good design elements of what makes WP7 Unique and really shows them off, for instance the home page updates with pictures of you in the main header.

Layout

The whole interface is built to the WP7 Theme incorporating all of the goodness that makes windows phone, menus flow together and and finding your away around is intuitive and will be remembered within 5minutes of using the app, it simply is a case of swiping left and right to acsess “news feed, Pofile, Pictures” etc…

Features

Facebook Check-in, Tagging, upload of pictures are amongst some of the main features with this release but still is lacking some of goodness that its rivals iOS and Android have and is lacking in the WP7 app and it seem the only way to acsess these areas is on the web version. I have also noticed things like Groups are on the app but don’t offer the same information as the again web version offers

Photos – This section is a very nice feature and does a fantastic job of organising your and your “fiends” in a pleasing format to the eye and really does impress with speeds, i was able to have 100s of pictures within 10 seconds of loading the app on a normal 3G Connection.

Notifications – I have not really had much success with “push notifications” the windows live tile has updated with no problems but not ios style “pings”

Messages – Not much to say here apart from it works, and does an ok job, again outdated the ios counterpart which now displays location of where the message was sent!

Chat –  WP7 Has a dedicated facility within Mango to thread messages from Widows Live, Facebook and SMS into one single channel and also gives you the ability to change your status to online and see other online Facebook friends!

Places (AKA Checkin) – This has worked flawlessly, but is abit of a problem when wanting t0 add a friend to post, you need to again use the web version!

Friends –   WP7 already has a fantastic integration with Faceb00k  and 0ther service and can be assessed on the Peoples tile

Final Verdict

The app has all good intentions but simply leaves me just posting status just to get the Windows Phone 7 Logo on facebook, the web version of the app provides all the features I need and loads them in half the time, its not to say the app is buggy, its far from it, its smooth and flows in the WP7 Style. I would recommend to anyone to download the app to give WP7 full integration with your Windows Phone
